May 2015 – Whistling Past the Graveyard by Susan Crandall

IMG_9585May already! How in the world did this happen? (It’s actually June — I’m behind in catching up the postings on the site —  better late than never! Right?).

We had a completely wonderful meeting.  Everyone read the book (besides Judy B who had recent eye surgery — poor pickle).  Discussion was very in-depth and quite pleasing.

We met at my home – filled with three fat piggly pugs (they are snoring as I write this — lol).   We had yummy nibbles, cocktails and a home filled with friends.  What more could you ask for?   We had consensus that we all really enjoyed the book.  Some very tough subject matters (reminded many of us slightly of To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee – based on subject matter and point of perspective by a child).    I highly recommend the book.

The girls (aka Olive, Finnegan and Piper) were very happy to see everyone.   I had to take the obligatory shot of our toes.  It is Summer you know and quite silly to do.  Being too serious is highly overrated.  #OnlyInTheSouth  #HCPBookClub
